Synopsis:
The film tells the story of Sam Bloom (Academy Award nominated Naomi Watts), a young mother whose life is turned upside down after a traumatic, near-fatal crash leaves her paralyzed, based on the best-selling novel of the same name. The husband of Sam, (Andrew Lincoln), her three young boys and her mother (Jacki Weaver nominated for the Academy Award), are trying to adapt to their current condition when an unexpected ally approaches their world in the form of a wounded baby magpie named Penguin. For the Bloom family, the arrival of the bird is a welcome distraction, finally bringing a profound difference to Sam's life, showing her how to live again.
