Storyline:The American entertainer, Phineas Taylor Barnum, will still be known as the man with the gift to blur the distinction between fact and fantasy, orphaned, penniless, but optimistic and with a mind crammed with creativity and fresh ideas. The son of a tailor, eager for novelty and greedy for success, manages to open a wax museum; but he quickly switches attention to the special and the odd, presenting on the circus stage extraordinary, never-seen-before live acts.But as Phineas, fascinated with cheers and respectability, gambles everything on the opera singer, Jenny Lind, to cater to a high-brow crowd, he will lose sight of the most important part of his life: his family.
