    Joel Dawson (Dylan O'Brien), along with the rest of mankind, has been living underground after giant beasts took hold of the earth seven years after the Monsterpocalypse. Joel starts to fall for her again after reconnecting via radio with his high school girlfriend Aimee (Jessica Henwick), now 80 miles away in a coastal colony. As Joel discovers that there's nothing left for him underground, amid all the deadly creatures that stand in his path, he decides against all rationality to step out to Aimee. Michael Rooker and Ariana Greenblatt both appear in the fun-filled and action-packed adventure.
